Last night in Lake County Sports ... Oct. 7

Phew! What a day yesterday, I was at both ends of the county as I tried to squeeze in some soccer in Polson before heading down to Arlee for the Scarlets vs. Lady Bulldogs game. Here's what happened...

Good night on the soccer as the Polson Boy's won 6-0 over Bigfork. Sean Hart had a hat trick, scoring in the first minute, the 49th and the 63rd. Senior Jake Bash also scored his first career goal, as he usually plays defender, in the 13th minute (#20, he's the one celebrating). James Larson and Trevor Moll also had goals.

I'd also like to apologize for not being able to stick around for the girls' soccer game. With the long drive to Arlee I had to leave early. The girls fought Bigfork to a 0-0 tie in the first half before losing 2-0. Goalkeeper Jacie Morrison had saves in the game.

Now on to volleyball...

Mission defeats Arlee 3-1
22-25, 25-18, 25-10, 25-7

Arlee came out on fire but just couldn't hold the momentum. Adessa Durglo led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 kills and Becca Nelson was great for Arlee defensively, collecting 32 digs. Here are some photos from the game...

Whitefish defeats Ronan
25-21, 25-27, 25-18, 25-21

That's a close game right there folks. Tailyr Irvine led Ronan with 8 kills and Alice VanGunten led the team with 12 digs.

Charlo defeats St. Regis 3-0
25-17, 25-18, 25-7
The Lady Vikings get the very cool clean sweep of St. Regis and continue to roll through the District. It's looking like it's gonna be Arlee and Charlo all the way.
