It was a nice week for the Montana Grizzlies, they moved up 13th in the Mid-major poll for college basketball and then got some recognition by Big Sky Conference.
University of Montana senior Brian Qvale has been selected as the Big Sky Conference's men's basketball co-player of the week.
The 6-foot-11 center from Williston, N.D., averaged 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game as Montana recorded conference wins over Eastern Washington and Portland State.
In each game Qvale tallied a double-double.
He had 13 points and 12 rebounds in the 66-47 win over the Eagles and 17 points and 14 rebounds in the 77-70 win over the Vikings.
The Griz will take on Idaho State on Thursday in Pocatello, Id.
