Polson moves up in wrestling polls

After an impressive performance by Polson in the Western Montana Duals, Polson has moved from No. 8 in the state to No. 6. However, Ronan is nowhere to be found despite looking very impressive at the duals as well and knocking off No. 3 Frenchtown. This is a big snub.

The Polson Pirates, fresh off their second place finish at the Western Montana Duals in Ronan, moved up in the Class A wrestling poll this past week from No. 8 to No. 6.

The Pirates, however, are the only Northwestern A squad among the Top 10, as Libby fell out of the poll.

Two local wrestlers are ranked No. 1 in their individual weight classes. They are Polson's Carlos Quinones at 98 pounds and Libby's Kyle Leir at 140.

Polson had several other wrestlers among the top of their weight classes. They are: Dylan Moll, No. 2 at 105, Craig Feistner, No. 3 at 112, Drew Fouty, sixth at 119, Jose Quinones, No. 6 at 130, Jacob Young, No. 3 at 135, Mike Devlin, No. 5 at 145, Colton Lenz, No. 6 at 152 and Josiah Clairmont, No. 4 at heavyweight.
Columbia Falls has three ranked wrestlers. They are Sal Baccaro, No. 4 at 119, Justin Whitman, fourth at 125 and Josh Folsom, No. 6 at 171.

Libby's Mitch Haugan is ranked No. 2 at 130.
