Pirates win NWA football title with 46-7 victory over Libby

Polson racked up over 400 yards of offense and dominated the visiting Libby Loggers 46-7 for the Northwestern A conference title on Friday. Polson improved their record to 7-0 overall and finished conference play a perfect 4-0.

It was quarterback Vince DiGiallonardo who dominated the game as he ran for three touchdowns, and threw for two more. DiGiallonardo finished the game with 111 rushing yards and 126 passing yards.

The Pirates jumped out to a 18-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. In the game, Receivers Justin Hoel and Ian Laimbeer both hauled in touchdown passes while Chris Cote has a 31-yard touchdown run.

Polson as a whole rushed for 281 yards while holding Libby to just 130 total offensive yards.

The Pirates finish up the regular season by playing Browning next week.
