Chiefs defeat No. 4 Loyola

Ronan's group of seniors know how to go out with bang. On Senior night against their biggest opponent of the season, the Chiefs ran their way to a 32-14 victory over No. 4 Loyola to improve to 2-0 in conference play.

While this will be the last time Ronan plays at home this regular season, if they keep putting in performances like this, they'll be hosting a playoff game.

It was like a heavyweight boxer fight with both teams knotted in a 0-0 draw after the first quarter before Marcus Hungerford ran from 33-yards out to give the Chiefs a 6-0 lead in the second quarter. Loyola would take the 7-6 lead after that but Jake Skelton continued to run strong for Ronan and put the Chiefs up at halftime 12-7 with a 15-yard run.

After the half, Loyola scored to take the 14-12 advantage but it was all Ronan after that. The Chiefs took the 18-14 lead on a Chris Clary touchdown, followed by a Jake Skelton touchdown from 26-yards out. However, it still felt like a game until Clary rumbled for 72 yards much to the joy of the hometown Ronan crowd for the final touch on the victory.

Ronan improved to 5-1 on the season and will travel to Florence next week.
