Warriors down Darby

Senior running back Zach Tameler ran wild for 162 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Warriors picked up their second win of the season with a 49-32 drubbing of Darby on Friday.

Cody Sheridan was also impressive through the air, throwing for 172 yards and four touchdowns. Three of those TD passes went to Christian Haynes, who finished with 64 receiving yards.

Arlee took the early 7-0 lead thanks to a three yard touchdown pass from Sheridan to Haynes. Then Tameler scored from three yards out for the 14-0 advantage. Darby would finish out the first half strong with two touchdowns and only trailed 14-12 at halftime.

Lane Wilson scored from a yard out and Haynes caught another touchdown pass from Sheridan as the Warriors grabbed the 28-12 in the third quarter.

Then the fourth quarter happened. Both teams combined for 41 points as things resembled a shootout. Darby scored two touchdowns to pull within it 28-26, but Tameler gave the Warriors more breathing room by hauling in a 55-yard pass from Cody Sheridan. Sheridan tossed another TD pass to put Arlee up 42-26.

Darby scored again but Tameler answered back with a five-yard run touchdown run for the Warriors.
