Madeline Hewston scored three goals (hat trick!) and the Polson Lady Pirates defeated Bigfork 4-0 on Thursday to solidify their No. 3 Northern conference seed in the Montana state playoffs.
In Bigfork, Hewston scored in the 22 minute, followed by Sarah Howell in the 27th minute to give the Lady Pirates a 2-0 halftime lead. Hewston then scored in the 65th and 72nd minute. Polson swept the season series against Bigfork and will face Libby this Saturday at noon.
MacKenzie Wagner received the Bigfork sportsmanship award for outstanding play and playing in the spirit of the game.
